Kelowna Taco Del Mar Ice Devils (Petite A) Wins Silver

The Kelowna Petite "A" Taco Del Mar Ice Devils won Silver at the West Coast Classic held in Richmond Jan 10-13th after playing a total of 5 games Friday through Sunday.  The Ice Devils really came together as a team and were undefeated going into the Finals against The Port Coquitlam team which they had beaten 7-6 in round robin play.  Kelly Montgomery was solid in goal, and was a big part of the team's success.  Leading goal scorers for the team throughout the tournament were Taylor Cristofoli, Maddi Froehler and Steph Strymecki.  Adding to the scoring were Meghan Jansons, Amy Froehler, Rachel Bonang, Ashley Buat, Haley Paterson, and Maddi Stevens.  Excellent checking and defensive play by the entire team contributed to their success on the weekend.  A small bribe in the form of DQ Blizzards from Coach Dale also played a small part!!!
