Kelowna Ringette AGM & Banquet
All members from each family in Kelowna Ringette are invited to attend the KRA Dinner, Annual General Meeting and Awards Ceremony on Friday, April 24th at the Coast Capri Hotel in Kelowna. This is a chance to get dressed up and come have a fun evening to celebrate the end of a successful season. Members can choose to attend both the dinner and AGM, or just the AGM. Registration and payment for the dinner automatically includes the Annual General Meeting.
Why should you attend?
1. Celebrate all our award winners. There will be awards in the following categories:
- Coach of the year - U12 and Under (Children's ringette)
- Coach of the year - U14 and up
- Adult Volunteer of the year
- Junior Volunteer of the year
- Official of the year
- Team of the year
- Rookie of the year
- Longevity in Sport Award
- Goalie award
Each Team will also have individual awards for
- Top Defensive Player
- Outstanding Offensive Player
- Fair Play
- Heart & Hustle
2. This year we will have draws throughout the AGM and awards portion of the evening for special Door prizes including a random draw to win a free registration for the 2026-2027 season for U12 and under, and one for U14 to Open. This applies to eligible members only. One ticket per player registered to play this season.
3. Your attendance at our Annual General Meeting helps us to secure a Community Gaming Grant. Each year we apply for funding and the past few years we have received in excess of $35,000. These gaming funds help to offset the cost of ice rentals for games and practices. As part of the Gaming Grant application we are required to provide the number of attendees to show that we have an engaged membership. Your attendance will make a difference!
The agenda for the evening is as follows:
6:00 pm - Arrival at the venue
6:30 pm - Buffet Dinner served
7:30 pm - Annual general meeting and awards ceremony (entertainment for the young ones will be provided during the AGM meeting).
KRA will subsidize more than half the cost of the dinner & banquet for attendees to maintain a low ticket price. Pricing is as follows:
$20 - Adults
$10 - Children under 13
Free - 5 and under
